Welcome

RipTide, the yachtiest band in Kansas, is a passion project built by long-time musical partners Stacy Stringer Cordell and Lee Eldridge. Stacy and Lee have been performing together for more than a decade with several bands including ThunderKat, the Shmedleys, the Dead Ringers and the Penguins.

With a shared love of the genre now affectionally known as Yacht Rock, the two spent months recruiting an incredibly talented group of musicians and people. Joining the band is Brian Norwood, Jade Brown, Tanya Sieber, Mike Lawrence and John Eldridge. The maiden voyage of the band was launched in early 2024 to a large and receptive audience at Trivedi Wine near Lawrence, Kansas. Clearly there’s a thirst for Yacht Rock, and RipTide delivers!
